    BJP has Won 9 Seats out of 10 in Dehradun

    Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has come out as the winner of this Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2017 that was held on February 15. The state has total 70 assembly seats which include 10 of Dehradun- Chakrata, Vikas Nagar, Sahaspur, Dharampur, Raipur, Rajpur, Dehradun Cantt., Mussoorie, Doiwala & Rishikesh.

    With Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s craze, BJP has won 56 seats in Uttarakhand out of 70, while the ruling party in the state Indian National Congress (INC) managed to secure only 11 seats. Among rest 3 seats, 2 have acquired by the independent candidates and 1 seat of Lohaghat is still on hold, due to technical problem of EVM at one booth. Reportedly, re-polling will be conducted there on March 15, so far BJP is leading on this seat.

    ChakrataPritam Singh (34968) of Congress has registered victory over BJP’s Madhu Chauhan (33425) with the difference of 1543 votes.

    Vikas Nagar: Munna Singh Chauhan (38893) of BJP has registered victory over Nav Prabhat of Congress with the difference of 6414 votes.

    SahaspurSahdev Pundir (44055) of BJP has registered victory over Congress’ Kishore Upadhyay (25192) with the good difference of 18863 votes.

    Dharampur: Current Mayor of Dehradun, Vinod Chamoli (53828) of BJP has registered victory over the Dinesh Aggarwal (42875) of Congress with the difference of 10953 votes.

    Raipur: Umesh Sharma (59764) of BJP has registered victory over Congress’ Prabhulal Bahuguna (22993) with the record difference of 36771 votes.

    Rajpur: BJP’s Khajaan Das (36601) has registered victory here over Rajkumar (27969) of Congress with the difference of 8632 votes.

    Dehradun Cantt.: Last 7 times winner BJP’s Harbans Kapoor (41142) has registered his victory for the 8th time here over the Congress’ candidate Suryakant Dhasmana (24472) with the good difference of 16670 votes.

    Mussoorie: Last 2 times winner BJP’s leader Ganesh Joshi (41322) has registered his victory for the 3rd time over Godavari Thapli (29245) of Congress with the difference of 12077 votes.

    Doiwala: BJP’s candidate Trivendra Singh Rawat (58502) has registered victory over Congress’ candidate Hira Singh Bisht (33633) with the good difference of 24869 votes.

    Rishikesh: Last 2 times winner BJP’s leader Premchand Aggarwal (45042) has registered victory for the 3rd time over Congress’ candidate Rajpal Kharola (30281) with the good difference of 14761 votes.
